flexharness-rust
The FlexHarness agent harness in Rust, to run inside native apps. The first is biq (biq.io/rustapp), whose assistant panel runs it in process: no Node runtime and no server.
It follows flexharness, the TypeScript harness, in design and formats, not by sharing code. That means the same tool catalog (search_tools, describe_tools, execute, results.get), the same declarations shown to the model, and the same event and transcript model. v1 ports a deliberately small part of it.
Crates
| Crate | What it holds |
|---|---|
flexharness |
The agent loop, sessions behind a store trait, the tool catalog, the permission hook |
flexharness-providers |
Model providers: the AGL proxy, Anthropic, OpenAI-compatible |
flexharness-egui |
The chat as egui widgets drawn into a host's Ui, with the host's tokens. It doesn't use eframe or own an event loop. |
Status: empty. The v1 plan is on AGL-990 and in the AGL tickets linked there.
