social.io platform
social.io is a self-hosted communication platform. One Deno service and one Lit application bring mail, chat, calls, physical letters, calendars, meetings, shared inboxes, and an embeddable support widget into a unified workspace.
Issue Reporting and Security
For reporting bugs, issues, or security vulnerabilities, please visit community.foss.global/. This is the central community hub for all issue reporting. One inbox, every channel
The unified inbox projects activity from every channel into a single triage stream. Items move through Now, Today, Later, and Done without losing the original channel context.
| Surface | What ships today |
|---|---|
| Unified inbox | Cross-channel projection, priority ordering, person timelines, snooze, done state, and deterministic AI fallback |
| IMAP and JMAP import, SMTP sending, drafts, attachments, screener lanes, JMAP, and first-party IMAP | |
| Chat | DMs, groups, channels, replies, reactions, typing, presence, membership, and read state |
| Organizations | Tenant organizations, roles, workspaces, teams, invitations, administration, and storage quotas |
| Shared spaces | Shared-inbox queues, assignment, internal notes, and audit events |
| Widget | Site configuration, an embeddable loader, visitor chat, and email continuation |
| Calendar and meetings | Scheduling, free/busy, invitations, recaps, and routed actions |
| Calls and letters | Logs, voicemail, transcripts, compose, tracking, scans, and provider contracts |
Live media, speech-to-text, telephony, and postal fulfillment require provider implementations. The application exposes those contracts but does not claim an external provider is connected by default.

MongoDB S3 storage clamd
The frontend is bundled into TypeScript modules and embedded in the runtime. MongoDB stores application state, S3-compatible storage holds attachments, and clamd scans uploads. Transactional SMTP and upstream IMAP/SMTP/JMAP providers remain external services.
